My Favorite Facial Scrub – the Berry Refined Scrub

This scrub is “berry” fun! One of my favorite products in Monat Global’s Skincare Line is the Berry Refined Scrub. I use this scrub to buff away my dull skin to reveal a smoother, softer, more even-toned glow. It brightens up my complexion leaving my skin feeling amazing. I multitask with this scrub and use it for much needed and deserved me-time for a five-minute mask to refine my skin and give me a deep skin exfoliation.

A good exfoliator is an important part of your skincare routine. The Berry Refined Scrub ($58) provides a gentle physical exfoliation with cranberry and a blend of natural fruit acids to leave your skin glowing. Not only is it effective, but it also smells delicious!

FEATURES of the REFINED BERRY SCRUB:
• Buffs away dull skin to reveal a more even, clear complexion.
• Reveals softer and smoother skin.
• Removes dead surface skin cells to reveal fresh, radiant glow.
• Easy and fun 2-in-1 mask and scrub to use bi-weekly.

It is best to exfoliate after properly cleansing the skin. I recommend using the Berry Refined Scrub 1–2 times a week and leaving it on five minutes, then following it with your favorite moisturizer. This scrub also works while in the shower. Our body will also benefit from regular yet gentle exfoliation. I use this scrub on my neck, chest and shoulders too.

My favorite thing about the Berry Refined Scrub is it uses fruit seeds as the scrub. It does not contain microbeads. Microbeads are the tiny colorful pellets found in face wash, body scrubs and toothpaste. These microbeads, which are a form of plastic, are one millimeter (or less) in size. Their size is as big or smaller than a piece of sand. These tiny particles, often found in cosmetics and skincare products, are washed down the sink, escape the filtration process at wastewater treatment plants and end up in oceans. Eventually, they are ingested by marine organisms. Microbeads were banned from used in rinse-off cosmetics in October 2017, although it is yet to be implemented.
